About Us

PlaySprouts was born in 2024, right here in Northern Ireland, out of the everyday chaos and joy of raising my two boys. As a mechanical and manufacturing engineer who spent years designing medical devices, from autoinjectors to breathing circuits, I’ve always focused on one thing: identifying real user needs and creating solutions that truly work. Parenthood quickly showed me that toddlers have a knack for finding the flaws in every product… and so the idea for PlaySprouts and our first creation, the Quenchy Cup, was born.

The Quenchy Cup isn’t just another sippy cup. It’s the product of a designer’s obsession with solving everyday problems:

• Toddler-proof independence: Straws that pop out, lids that spill, drinks everywhere - sound familiar? We designed Quenchy so toddlers can drink freely without help, without creating a mess, and without frustrating parents.
• Smart, safe design: The straw is fixed to the base, the lid is easy for adults but tricky for tiny hands, and the flow is controlled to prevent leaks. Safety is paramount, Quenchy was design to ISO standards and made with food-grade silicone.
• Easy, practical, parent-approved: Dishwasher safe, easy to clean, and built to last through countless adventures at home, in the car, or out in the world.

At PlaySprouts, our mission is simple: we create playful, thoughtful products that help children grow while making life easier (and more fun) for parents. With a background in high-stakes engineering, I bring the same precision, care, and problem-solving mindset to kid’s products—because parenting deserves products that actually work.
